IKEA Edmonton

When my breadbins realised I'd got a free car, the requests came flooding in. I'm quite happy to help out and my buddy Steph had recently moved into a swanky new pad & needed some new furniture. So, off we went to IKEA Edmonton, land of the cheap & functional do it yourself furniture that always seems to be missing a vital screw whenever I put it together. Now this IKEA brings back some memories. I worked on the opening launch advertising for IKEA Edmonton & we got a guy to chop a log to open it as a promotional gimic. That ofcourse was our weird Swedish hook, but most people were there to get their hands on a 45 quid settee. There was a massive queue, as big as the car park, we were stood overlooking the angry masses in reception. When the doors opened, I can only say I witnessed a kick b*****k Scramble from hell. I was scared. People were fighting to get in, baby's had to rescued from the crush, a pregnant woman who had got her hands on a couch had it stolen off her as she queued at a till to pay & someone apparently got stabbed in the shenanigans. Petrifying & scary. People fighting over a cheap couch. nutters the lot of them. Fortunately for us, there was no repeat. Nice meatballs.
